 I'm thrilled to say that i'll be working as a volunteer mentor for Arts Emergency in 2026!
Arts Emergency is a Uk-wide arts charity that connects, develops and empowers young adults so that they can access and thrive in creativity and culture in the future. Consider becoming a mentor, donating to the cause or simply finding out more here: https://www.arts-emergency.org/ It was a joy to deliver an original lecture/workshop on voices, technology and theatre for Glasgow University students late last year. The lecture included some of my favourite voice-y performances and writings and I hope to do more things like this again soon.

It was thrilling and otherworldly to be drumming in the land of the rising sun - so thankful for the opportunity 🇯🇵  It’s been a charm to spend the last few weeks writing and recording music for Ellis Hirst's new stop - motion animation - ‘A Perfect Match’.

I've really enjoyed being on the road with STOMP in the first half of 2025. From Germany, to Belgium, to the hot hot heat of Dubai, it's been a blast! More touring to come later this year as well - i'm looking forward to it. Happy (late) New Year! I’m really excited about creative adventures around the corner in 2025, including:
- Releasing brand-new songs with my band @akuakimusic. The tracks for our EP are now totally done and we’re getting ready to share them...watch this space. - Heading on tour in February and March with STOMP. I can’t wait to bash and bosh my way through Germany and Belgium with the gang very soon. For now though, I will mostly be juggling in my front room. 🥁🤹❤️  Shout out to Simon Stokes and SubSine Academy where i've been brushing up on my Ableton Live music production skills for the past couple of months.
 Lyosha Sibikin and I have been making music together as Aku Aki since late 2019, when I first moved to Glasgow. We've survived a pandemic, a PhD and more besides.
